Terms of Use

Effective October 17, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and Cloudy Tuesdays LLC ("Cloudy Tower", "we", "us"). They apply to the Cloudy Tower iPhone app (the "App") and cloudytower.com. By using the App you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If these terms and the Apple EULA conflict, these terms apply, except where the Apple EULA says otherwise.

1. A training aid, not flight instruction

Cloudy Tower helps you practise aviation radio phraseology. It is not flight instruction, is not for navigation or real-world operations, and does not replace a certificated flight instructor, current FAA publications and charts, or instructions from air traffic control. Airports, runways, frequencies, weather and procedures in the App are for practice and may be wrong or out of date. In the airplane, always follow ATC, current official sources and your instructor.

2. No account

The App doesn't need an account. Your progress is stored on your iPhone; if you delete the App or erase your logbook, it's gone, and we can't restore it.

3. Free and Pro

Stage 0 and Stage 1 of the course, and 5 review calls a day from later stages, are free. Cloudy Tower Pro unlocks Stages 2 to 7, the instrument track, their checkrides and unlimited review.

Subscriptions

• Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year (US prices; the App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy).
• The yearly plan includes a one-week free trial for new subscribers, once. When it ends, the subscription starts and you're charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before it.
• Manage or cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
• If we change the price, Apple tells you beforehand, and where the law requires it, asks you to agree.

All payments go through Apple. We don't take payment any other way.

4. Content

The course, grading, recordings and design are ours or licensed to us. You may use them for your own training. Don't copy, resell or redistribute them. Airport data comes from the FAA and weather from aviationweather.gov; both are provided as they are and may be incomplete or late.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the App or its services. In particular, don't use the voice service outside the App, script requests to it, try to get around its limits, or interfere with it. We may block requests that do.

6. Changes to the App

We may change, add or remove features and lessons. If we stop offering Pro, we'll stop renewals; subscriptions already paid run to the end of their period.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cloudy Tuesdays LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any decision made relying on the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Apple

These terms are between you and Cloudy Tuesdays LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

11. Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Using the App after that means you accept them. Questions: support@cloudytower.com.
